The
wind blew strong in the scorched clearings, filling the borders of
the Great Wood with sinister noises and making the Gurgle Stream
rush, which put the marmots' work to the test. There, in that last
green corner of the earth, Ashlem the Owl was peeking on the Rat
King, Caracat, who addressed his minions:
"My
disgusting, yellow-bellied brothers" (it was a common courtesy),
"the flames are destroying our forest. The Hairless Ones"
(he meant the humans) "are moving on us with their fire-spitting
monsters! The lower animals are fleeing our territories; there are no
more succulent duck eggs to taste, only those bloody hairless ones'
waste."
Today,
the last free people struggle together to protect the Great Wood and
make all the animals free once again.
Stay tuned!
